Villa Marya
- Miami, FL
Service type
Villa Marya unfolds across a Miami lot as three interconnected structures are linked by bridges. Rather than consolidating into one mass, the design segments the home, allowing landscape and open air to weave through the architecture.
The aesthetic draws from Spanish and Moroccan traditions—lime-washed walls, French stucco exteriors, and Tadelakt-finished bathrooms. Exposed concrete floors provide contemporary grounding, balancing historical references with modern materials.
A central port-cochere anchors the home, framing the entry while visually connecting the garage and guest quarters. The bridged transitions creates an estate-like feel, with the central courtyard being the hub of the home.
Layered courtyards and filtered light define Villa Marya’s character. It feels expansive yet intimate, traditional yet modern. By separating the structure, rather than amplifying scale, this home achieves presence without heaviness.
